As Clayton native, I love sharing yoga with my hOMtown! I am a scientist by profession and lifelong learner - I love the journey of yoga because we are always evolving and growing! Our community of yogis inspires me daily to continue learning and I am humbled and honored to have the privilege of sharing yoga with the Glow community. I took my first yoga class in 2008 and immediately fell in love with the practice. I am currently studying with Tiffany Cruikshank through Yoga Medicine and have also studied with leaders in the industry including Bryan Kest. My formal education is in Neuroscience & my teaching is informed by science and an unwavering commitment to create intelligently sequenced classes that leave you feeling aligned and renewed!
I discovered yoga 7 years ago while pregnant with my son. I found myself coming back to my practice through every challenging phases; until ultimately I figured out it was my answer. Not only do I believe in its healing properties but I love sharing the wisdom behind it. I consider myself a student always and grateful to help students on their journey through Yoga. Through the mind, body, connection there are infinite discoveries waiting to be learned, or unlearned. The beautiful thing about Yoga it’s different for each student and there for us always.
I am a self-taught designer and the sole-proprietor of JillErin Aromatherapy & Jewelry located in downtown Clayton and now Teen Yoga teacher. I am a certified Aromatherapist & recently completed my RYT-200 at Glow in June of 2020! I am passionate about sharing the healing benefits of yoga with teens & currently teach Teen Yoga at Glow! When not making jewelry creating oil blends & teaching yoga, I love spending quality time with family and friends, watching waves ripple through the NC ocean, and having a great IPA at local breweries!
I first started practicing yoga in the early 2000's and my practice consisted mostly of a home practice. Two and a half years ago I was introduced to Buti Yoga and my world changed immediately. I became certified as a Buti Yoga Instructor in August of 2017 then pursued my RYT-200 at Glow Yoga in 2018. Through Buti Yoga, I found more body confidence, more freedom to move and express myself and a better sense of who I am. In Buti Yoga, we draw on Primal energy and movement to nurture our bodies and thrive. Buti is unwavering in its commitment to demanding support and connection among students. I want to empower our community to form these connections and support each other in our pursuit of health and happiness. Join our Clayton Buti Tribe today and let's sweat with intention.
I am from the Johnston County area – born and raised. Educated to be a Business Manager/Accountant – receiving several degrees throughout my life. By day – I am a Global Accounting Manager. I have worked in implementation and design for Accounting Teams for 25 years. I have been fortunate to travel extensively for my work life to some interesting places, Barcelona, Spain was home for 45 days and Naga, Philippines for 24 days – during which the Pope was in Manila during my stay – that is an interesting story in itself. By choice and by night I am a certified yoga teacher – completed my training with Glow Yoga in December 2018 – 1st home based graduate class from our studio! I currently teach Meditation at the studio, and we are excited about the growth for our meditation yogis at Glow! I have been doing meditation personally for many years and through my personal growth and for my own sanity I had a dedicated Teacher/Healer from Savannah, GA for over 3 years before I began sharing guided meditation with other students. I have a strong passion for meditation and feel that everyone needs to incorporate this into their lives. Our minds require their own fitness to keep us growing and learning. Meditation truly will connect your mind with your body and spirit. Fusing my love for yoga, meditation and community a practice for full self-expression and energy, love and acceptance is what I try to bring to every meditation class I lead. Most recently I have completed my Reiki Level 1 & 2 training here at Glow with Meghan.
My mission is to help people feel free, happy, and fully express their TRUTH and INNER SELF!!
I was first introduced to yoga 10 years ago and did it occasionally or in bursts of interest that changed with life’s varied transitions. When I began a more regular practice, I fully realized the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual benefits yoga provides. The more consistent my practice…the better I feel! Committing to a daily yoga practice lead me to pursue yoga teacher training—I completed my RYT-200 training summer 2017. I am so grateful for all my teachers along the way, the teachings, the yoga community and the opportunity to share this ancient practice with others. Off my yoga mat I’m sharing life with my husband Seth, our son Luke, our daughter Langdon and two goofy yellow labs. A native of Raleigh, I’ve now called Clayton home for nearly 20 years.
I first came to yoga for physical exercise about six years ago but soon realized that it was so much more than bending and sweating and I just fell in love with it. Yoga quiets and calms my mind and gives me peace and emotional contentment while building physical strength and flexibility. Through my practice, I have gained balance in my life and it has taught me to let go of that which does not serve me. Yoga harmonizes my body, mind and spirit and has become a part of my daily life. My passion for yoga led me to yoga teacher training at Glow, completing my RYT-200 certification in the winter of 2018. The training changed my life and brought such wonderful people into my world! I am so grateful to be a member of the Glow family and am looking forward to sharing my love of yoga with others in the community.
I found Pilates on video 14 or so years ago and loved how it helped my strength, tone, energy and all over feeling of wellbeing. Since I couldn’t find a class locally, I got certified thru IFTA and have been teaching now for about 12 years. I discovered Barre a few years back, loved it, and became certified thru Barre Up in Raleigh. Both specialties apply controlled moves while maintaining core stability.
I’m mom to Megan & Jack. My husband John and I settled in Clayton in 2003 and love the small town feel of community. When I’m not teaching classes, (or taking yoga classes!) I decorate for both residential and commercial clients, paint furniture, and love spending time with friends, new and old.
